MEET SELENA, THE WOMAN BEHIND SOLENA
Selena Lane spent years feeling like her hair was never what hair accessories were made for.
With thick, frizzy, in-between hair that changed with the weather, she broke clip after clip, fought with slipping ties, and ended many days with a headache.
As a product designer, she kept hearing the same thing from nurses, students, young moms and office workers around her: nothing really worked for their hair either.
Different textures, same story – they were all tired of forcing their real, messy, beautiful hair into accessories that weren’t designed for them.
FROM FRUSTRATION TO CREATING SOLENA
One rainy morning, after yet another clip snapped on her way to work, Selena realised the problem wasn’t her hair, but the tools.
Using her product design background, she started creating accessories that adapt to real hair: stronger clips, gentler holds, and pieces that don’t cause pain or damage.
That’s how Solena was born — a brand dedicated to hair accessories that respect every texture and make getting ready feel easier, not like a fight.
